Recently Clark & Leatherwood received the LEED Gold Level Certification, the highest certification ever awarded by North Carolina HealthyBuilt Homes, for its construction of the home for Dave and Jean Walters with D & J Properties (owner and developer) at 4900 Preserve Road, Balsam Mountain Preserve in Sylva, North Carolina.Click here to read entire story…
The LEED rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
